Walt Disney World® Makes Spring that Much More Magical

Spring is a great time of the year to visit all four parks at the most magical place on earth. Here’s why.

Epcot® International Flower & Garden Festival

Epcot® International Flower & Garden Festival

More than just a mere festival, this colorfully brilliant event boasts stunning (OK, actually, they’re epic) gardens – yes, we said epic gardens. And these stunning flowers and topiaries come with fresh and tasty food venues, fun playgrounds, and top-notch entertainment, straight through the spring from February 28th to May 28th, 2018.

Specifically, you can expect to be dazzled by truly unbelievable Disney-themed topiaries, breathtaking garden spaces, wildlife habitats, and inspirational exhibits, seminars, and how-to demonstrations – while obviously being perfect for kids (but also, let’s be honest, perfect for adults as well). The main attraction is no doubt the topiaries – huge configurations of magical proportions made from the best stuff on earth. Plants!

The outdoor Garden Rocks™ Concert Series makes the weekends rock to classic hits, all right on the waterfront. At the Outdoor Kitchens, sample a variety of dishes, desserts, and specialty drinks throughout the World Showcase, so you’ll never be feeling hungry or thirsty.

Though the flowers are great – it’s way more than just a flower show.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney is all about conservation and education when it comes to preserving Earth’s beauty and the animals that roam its land, and it’s an added bonus to come during the Party for the Planet, Disney’s incredible Earth Day celebration. This year, the cherry on top is that it coincides with Animal Kingdom’s 20th anniversary, which means the Party for the Planet is that much more of a party.

With a few more Avatar movies on the horizon, the spring is also a great time to check out the new Pandora – the World of Avatar, an exhilarating discovery of the magic of nature, filled with floating mountains, a bioluminescent forest, flying banshees, and other twists of magic wonder.

For a more realistic adventure, hit the road on a classic safari and watch the animals from ground level. With rare animals, authentic adventures, and world-class entertainment, Animal Kingdom is sure to be a thrilling experience.

Twenty years also means Disney knows a thing or two about keeping things fresh while continually improving upon past successes, so Animal Kingdom has truly transformed into a total day and night experience. Nighttime shows like Rivers of Light, Tree of Life Awakenings, and Safari at Night means the fun goes on after the sun goes down.

Happily Ever After in Magic Kingdom

The Magic Kingdom

When in Disney, don’t forget to feel the fairy tale magic up close. Gaze up in pure wonder at the Happily Ever After fireworks display over Cinderella Castle, the newest – and most spectacular – fireworks showcase in Magic Kingdom’s history.

End your evening with a show of technological wonders, a journey through the heart of some classic Disney animated films like Aladdin, the Lion King, the Little Mermaid, Toy Story, WALL-E, to instant classics of today like Big Hero Six and Frozen. Lasers, lights, projections and special effects make for an unforgettable memory as the Cinderella Castle transforms all to the tune of contemporary renditions of great Disney songs.

Spring in Orlando is a Great Time to Get Wet

Miss Adventure Falls at Typhoon Lagoon

With two world-class water parks, Disney makes splashing around easy and fun, and at the brand-new Miss Adventure Falls at Typhoon Lagoon, you can go for a wet ride at a fast pace. This white-water voyage shoots you into action in the spirit of Captain Mary Oceaneer – a sea-faring treasure hunter who got caught in a rogue typhoon – so you’ll be in some rough and thrilling waters as you ride along on a 4-person raft. Along the way, try spotting artifacts collected from all around the globe, and even possibly meet a talking parrot!

Disney Springs in Spring

Disney Springs

It’s in the name! Though any season is an equally amazing time to walk the Disney Springs, a comprehensive complex featuring shops, a movie theater, bowling alley, bakeries, chocolateries, restaurants, bars, live entertainment, and iconic name-brand stores, it’s beautiful in spring – and is a great stroll for all ages.

Immerse in Everything Star Wars at Disneyland’s Hollywood Studios

Disneyland’s Hollywood Studios

Admit it – this is also great for all ages. A total immersion into all things Star Wars is finally here.

Movie screenings, live stage shows, Jedi training, launching into hyperspace aboard a Starspeeder 1000, Star Wars-inspired meals, character greetings with Chewbacca and Kylo Ren, orbiting around saga-centric exhibits featuring replica props, models, concept art, and artifacts, experiencing a nighttime fireworks event, restoring freedom to the galaxy, and taking home a souvenir to remember it all – these are some of the things to expect at Disneyland’s Hollywood Studios this spring.

At Launch Bay, visitors get to see props from the movies up close, and at the Adventures Continue exhibit you’ll get to hop aboard a simulated space flight to popular destinations. A Galactic Spectacular is a nighttime extravaganza where the most memorable moments from Star Wars comes to life. A Galaxy Far, Far Away live show truly comes to life in real time – watch the iconic moments performed right before your eyes. And Path of the Jedi lets you in on the Jedi Order’s fall and return in a dramatic short film. In other words – it’s Star Wars paradise.

So spring forth – maybe not into another galaxy – but at least to Walt Disney World® for a spring adventure of epic proportions. Contact a travel consultant now to book more than a trip – a magical memory to last forever.
