Black River Safari

When you think of Jamaica, you probably think beaches and sunshine – but probably not a safari. This captivating adventure takes visitors deep into the island's largest navigable river and through lush wetlands.

The Black River Safari offers a unique glimpse into Jamaica's diverse ecosystem, allowing visitors to embark on a guided boat tour along the serene and aptly-named Black River, known for its dark waters. The safari is renowned for its abundant wildlife, including crocodile, various birds, and diverse plant life.

Knowledgeable guides provide fascinating insights into the region's ecology and history, making the experience both educational and awe-inspiring.

Floyd’s Pelican Bar (In the Middle of the Ocean)

Floyd's Pelican Bar, a rustic wooden structure perched on a sandbar, is one of Jamaica's most unique attractions.

Located about three-quarters of a mile off the coast, this laid-back bar offers an unforgettable experience in the middle of the Caribbean Sea. Accessible only by boat, the journey to Floyd's Pelican Bar is part of the adventure, with stunning views of the coastline and clear blue waters.

Once there, visitors can enjoy tropical drinks, fresh seafood, and a relaxed atmosphere, all while surrounded by breathtaking ocean vistas. The bar is a perfect spot for swimming, snorkeling, and spotting marine life, including fish and pelicans, which gave the bar its name.

Dub Club

Kingston’s Dub Club is a cultural haven for reggae and dub music enthusiasts. This iconic venue offers stunning panoramic views of the city as well, a beautiful spot representing Jamaica’s legendary music scene.

Must-Try Cuisine: Beef Patties

Though Jamaica is known for jerk chicken, there are so many more flavors to this amazing island, one of them being the delicious Jamaican beef patties.

Known for their flavorful filling and flaky, golden crust, these savory pastries are a staple of Jamaican cuisine. The filling, typically made from spiced ground beef, is seasoned with a blend of aromatic spices, giving it a distinctive and mildly spicy flavor. Encased in a dough that is colored with turmeric for a vibrant yellow hue, the patties are baked to perfection, resulting in a crispy exterior that complements the savory interior.

Be on the lookout for these tasty treats!
